Brakes done, bearing replaced, and cleaned up(somewhat). It started without a jump for the first time in almost a year(I really need to sacrifice the previous owner to the electrical gods... or just find a way to disable the alarm), 4 times even.
Then I took Scout for a ride. She seems to like the FiST more. It’s interior cleanliness does not.

They are super cheap, but for a fairly good reason. The second gen has some head gasket issues, but as a non-daily, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. It’s quite fun, though. I’ve missed be able to drift a dirt/gravel road.
